AndChat Donate available on Market

I’ve put up a donate version of AndChat in the Market for anyone who doesn’t mind paying £1.99 for my efforts. If you haven’t got a Google Checkout account or credit card, you can make a donation via PayPal.

For anyone curious/worried, the free version is not a ‘lite’ or ‘trial’ version, the only difference between the 2 is the ‘About’ screen. AndChat will always be free but a contribution is always appreciated.

Windows 7

It rocks! Srsly.

Android TTS Widget

Ever been busy with something and someone, who you can call back later, rings you, interrupting what you’re doing? Yeah, me too.

So I wrote a widget so you can easily enable text to speech notifications telling you the name of the person calling or texting you.

Inspired by this project on xda devs, I decided to write an app from scratch since that app never worked for me and you couldn’t easily enable or disable it.

The app is open source and is available at Google Code Hosting.

Oh hai!

So I was away for 1.5 months on holiday. Back now. Need to get a damn job.

AndroidIRC (Multiserver) released!

And a new website design for it as well! The old one was hand coded over SSH and looked very ugly, the new design is a bit more organized.

The new client has support for multiple servers, as well as things missing in the single server client, timestamps, detection of network connectivity change (so it disconnects quicker without lag), etc. It’s still a work in progress, so feel free to give feedback and ideas.

Go to the site.

AndroidIRC Multiserver screenshots

I’ve been doing some work on getting AndroidIRC to support multiple servers and have made good progress. It’s not fully usable at the moment but I decided to put some screenshots up of the work in progress.

The chatwindow GUI hasn’t been fully implemented yet, I’ll put up a mockup that was done for me showing what I eventually want it to look like a bit later.

As usual, feedback is appreciated.

On a side note, I’m well into my exam period, wish me luck )

The Pirate Bay trial

I loled at their epic fail.

Twitter Madness

It seems not a single day goes by without someone deciding to write a new article about Twitter. So fucking annoying when you visit the news site and there are new Twitter stories on each. Fucking hell, find something new to write about.

Backing up Android Market apks

So you downloaded some kewl apps onto your G1 and now you gonna flash your phone to get r00t but don’t want to spend time re-downloading apps from Market? Or some sneaky developer is now charging for a previously free app? Well, I have good news for you! You download the apk files to your pc to install later.
