I’ve put up a donate version of AndChat in the Market for anyone who doesn’t mind paying £1.99 for my efforts. If you haven’t got a Google Checkout account or credit card, you can make a donation via PayPal.
For anyone curious/worried, the free version is not a ‘lite’ or ‘trial’ version, the only difference between the 2 is the ‘About’ screen. AndChat will always be free but a contribution is always appreciated.

I cant believe how crap the service provided by Registerfly is.
It turns out eNom is canceling Registerfly’s reseller status on the 9th March for failing to stick to the rules. I have 5 domains with Registerfly and now I’m in the process of transferring them all to Namecheap. The problem is Registerfly has put a lock on this domain (yes this site domain) which means I can’t transfer it, even though the standard 60 day lock is over
.
Apparently, I’m not the only one having this problem, over at Registerflies.com, other people have been complaining about it as well. Right now, there isn’t much i can do, only hope Registerfly responds to my support ticket.
I also got an email from Registerflies, apparently the old CEO of the company, Kevin Medina, has been fired and they are filing criminal charges against him
. Sometime before Christmas, he fired all employees and messed about with the passwords on the site, so no-one else could do anything.
Mr. Medina, as many do not know, wrote the entire Registerfly.com website and had full and total control of its data. After his termination, Mr. Medina deleted email accounts, access to support tools, and access for our risk/billing department to issue refunds.
The full email can be read here: http://www.zer0day.com/stuff/blogstuff/ceo.txt
The new CEO is promising to make things better, but I’ve lost all interest in being their customer. I just want my domains moved asap.
Also an article here.

I have to design a blogging engine as part of my uni project
I’ve decided to upload it to this site, along with any other projects I do. If you’re interested, it can be found here, although its feature less at the moment. The login details are demo/demo
. I’ll upload the latest version when I get a chance, which is slightly more developed on the front-end, the back-end needs some serious work.
Also, I’ve uploaded an audio file (only one so far
) in my media gallery, it can be found here. It has a neat little music player, so you can listen to the file before downloading and I’ll be making the files available for download soon.

I’ve decided to add some audio files to my Gallery. The Video Gallery is gonna be renamed to Media Gallery, and will have a section dedicated to audio files I found/recorded in various places. You’ll be able to listen to the files before deciding to download anything, the download links will be available in the download section. I’ll add some stuff soon. I will also allow comments in the gallery, so you can leave your opinions.
To protect myself from any legal problems
, I have to post this as well:
IMPORTANT INFO:
The files I share will be done under the assumption that no copyright is held to them, or that the license they were released under allows the redistribution of these files. For most of the files, I don’t have any source, if you believe you are the copyright/license holder, please inform me and I will give credit to you. I will not knowingly post files that hold copyright.
NO BREACH OF COPYRIGHT LAW(S) ARE INTENDED.

All this time I was using the A Small Orange Tiny Package which gave me 75MB space. When I joined, I thought that would be enough for a simple blog, but my gallery used up an odd 65MB of that space (shocking innit
). So I sent an email to the kind people at ASO, who upgraded my package to Medium the next day.
Now I have 1GB space and 25GB bandwidth, which is more then I’ll probably ever need
. Anyway, I’ll be uploading some more stuff soon, since I might as well use what I’m gonna be paying for.
If anyone is looking for hosting, I seriously recommend ASO, their service is great, and their support services is even better. Any issue I’ve had, they’ve sorted it out very quickly, and their support ticket response times are amazing.
Proud to be
Also, you may have noticed my downloads area, gonna upload some more stuff soon.
Found a cool site that lets you download music licensed under Creative Commons License (no drm included

I cant believe how many problems IE6 is causing on this site. It ignores half of the stylesheet, doesn’t display transparent pngs, in my download area, shows the sidebar text in a massive size and makes the whole site look ugly when you open the site with it.
It isn’t a problem with my site, it validates 100% according to the checks I did, and the css is valid as well. The retarded IE developers ignore half the standards and make a load of crap:mad:. But it seems now they’ve got off their lazy backsides and started fixing it. Most of the site works with IE7, but still, some of the text shows up massive.
No problems at all with Firefox or Opera *me hugs them both*
I wanna stop caring about how the site looks with IE6, but a lot of visitors to here use it
.
(I just recently found out how to put images in my posts hehehehe)

This is a pretty slick show
. I watched the first two episodes after I was recommended to watch it by a friend, and I have to say, I’m might watch this as well as Prison Break now
.
Update:
I watched all the way up to Episode 12 which is the latest so far. The plot is really great, and its getting really interesting, what with the killer escaping and Peter thinking he’s gonna blow up
. I’m hooked on it, and gonna watch this regularly now

….in the US. Right now, its Season 2 Episode 14. In the UK, they started showing Season 2 on Channel 5 which shows ads every 10 mins . Obviously I’m not gonna sit through that crap, so I’m watching it via “other” means.
Anyway, its getting pretty intense right now, they have a major new ally and they plan to go for the big fish now
. If you don’t watch Prison Break, you dunno what you’re missing.
On a side note, my blog is now updated to Wordpress 2.1. Some plugins need to be updated to work, but so far, nothing borked at the front end (not that I’ve noticed). If you do see something not working, send me an email via my Contact Page.

I’ve been testing out Ubuntu on an old laptop I managed to get hold off. So far, the main problem has been getting a decent window manager set up, since the laptop spec is too slow to work with the default Gnome. Another problem has been wifi and static ip. I hate using dhcp (dynamic ip), but using wpa supplicant I managed to get static ip working.
Using Network Manager Gnome was recommended, but since I needed to put in the keyring password everytime I booted, and the method to bypass this wouldn’t work with auto login, I had to find an alternative to be able to log in to my home network, i.e wpa supplicant.
Next few things I need to get done is: setup fluxbox, an alternative window manager for low end systems, install some “killer” apps, and start learning Linux properly.
I’ve wanted to learn Linux for a long time, but using it on my windows laptop is a big NO, since I don’t like dual booting, even when I used Vista, dual booting was hassle, and it becomes annoying having to reboot to get back to Windows, and not being able to access my files properly unless I use an unstable and risky Linux NTFS driver, or format my HD using FAT32
.

Steve Jobs announced the iPhone at his keynote. If you haven’t read about it already, head over to the iPhone site and check out the demo. Feature packed and looks SLICK!!!!
Engadet has the first photos (or so they say so
), yo can see it here: Engadet Gallery.
This seriously looked like next hot thing, and imo, blows the MS Zune miles away.
You might also be able to catch the keynote later at this link. Make sure you watch it!!!!
Funnily enough, Linksys also has a product called iPhone that was launched before Apple.
Update: Looks like Cisco (Linksys’ parent company) is gonna sue Apple for using their trademark.
